In case of swallowing apricot kernels, if there are no obvious symptoms or obvious abdominal pain, these two cases can be considered for clinical observation and do not require special treatment. If there is obvious discomfort in the pharynx or obstruction in the esophagus or pain in the upper abdomen, emergency gastroscopy should be performed to see if the apricot kernel is embedded in the esophagus or in the stomach cavity. If this happens, the apricot nucleus should be removed urgently, usually with a foreign body clamp or a trap. At the same time, if available, a gastroscope with a transparent cap should be given to remove the foreign body, in order to prevent some uncooperative patient in the process of removal, resulting in accidental aspiration, so this situation requires special attention.
