While 600 diopters of myopia is within the range of refractive error for TFA, 600 diopters of hyperopia and 600 diopters of astigmatism are not eligible for TFA at this time.
Whether a patient can undergo full femtosecond surgery requires a detailed examination at the hospital, as the surgery is limited by many factors and not all patients with 600-degree myopia can undergo full femtosecond surgery.
If the patient is over 18 years old, the refractive error has been relatively stable in the past two years, the thickness of the cornea is sufficient, the size of the pupil is normal, and the eye is free from localized cone cornea, dry eye, keratitis, uveitis, glaucoma, cataracts, fundus disease and other eye diseases that can affect the surgery, then full femtosecond surgery is generally possible. Otherwise, full femtosecond surgery is not recommended.
It is recommended that patients seek medical examination to clarify whether or not full femtosecond surgery can be performed based on their specific condition.
