What is the condition of a lump in the eyelid

When there is a lump on the eyelid, the first thing to determine is whether the lump is on the upper eyelid or the lower eyelid. It also depends on the length of time the lump has been forming. If the lump has just formed, it may be a localized allergic reaction that has resulted in the formation of urticaria, such as angioneurotic edema, which may also occur in the eyelid area. However, if the lumps have been forming for a longer period of time, for example, if they occur on the inside of the upper eyelids bilaterally, the lumps may generally be lid warts. The causes of lid warts are complex, and some may be related to a disorder in the patient’s own lipid metabolism. Therefore, for lumps on the eyelids, this condition needs to be looked at separately.
