Cervical cancer is not necessarily caused by men.
Cervical cancer is the second most common malignant tumor among women in China, and the damage it causes to women’s health cannot be ignored. Although it is said that continuous HPV infection is a necessary factor leading to the emergence of cervical cancer, and HPV is mainly transmitted through sexual contact, but it does not mean that cervical cancer in women is caused by men.
According to the Cervical Cancer Guidelines, risk factors for cervical cancer include persistent high-risk HPV infection and exogenous risk factors, including menstrual and maternal factors, oral contraceptive pills, poor nutritional status, smoking, and immunologic factors.
The development of cervical cancer generally requires a combination of factors. HPV vaccination is recommended for women at the appropriate age to prevent cervical cancer. Women should pay attention to regular medical checkups and timely screening for cervical cancer, and any abnormal lesions should be treated promptly.
