Can you touch water when you have chicken pox?

You can touch water if you have chickenpox, but if the local skin blisters have broken, the local skin is recommended not to touch water for the time being to reduce the chance of infection.
Chickenpox is caused by the human body infected with varicella zoster virus, there can be fever, generalized lethargy, headache, nausea, abdominal pain, vomiting and other prodromal symptoms, followed by the appearance of a rash. The skin lesions will show an evolution from tiny red papules, herpes, scabs, and crusts. It is possible to touch water with chickenpox; touching water does not affect the course of the disease and has no effect on the intact skin.
However, if the rash develops to the herpes stage, and the local skin blisters have broken out, it is recommended that the local skin should not touch the water, and keep clean and hygienic, so as not to cause infection of the broken out wounds.
