What should I do if I can’t pass stools?

The problem of small amount of stool, not easy to pass and often said stool, can be improved by general treatment and drug treatment.
1. General treatment: patients with dry stools that cannot be easily discharged should adjust their dietary habits and dietary structure, consume more food or fruits with crude fiber, reduce the intake of meat or high-fat food, and ensure the intake of about 1,500 ml of water every day. At the same time, increase the amount of exercise, develop good defecation habits, help relieve constipation.
2. Medication: Neurogenic intestinal disorders caused by slow intestinal peristalsis or pathologic causes can be treated with appropriate laxatives, such as mannitol, polyethylene glycol, and so on. However, long-term use of laxatives will form dependence, which is not conducive to the recovery of the intestinal tract’s own function.
There are adverse reactions to the above drugs, it is recommended to use drugs under the guidance of a doctor, not blindly self-medication to avoid adverse effects. If the above symptoms are not relieved, it is recommended to consult a doctor in a timely manner, under the guidance of a professional physician for definitive diagnosis and treatment.
