What to do about multiple ulcers at the end of the ileum

Multiple ulcers at the end of the ileum are found by e-colonoscopy. In this case, ulcer tissue should be taken under e-colonoscopy and pathological biopsy should be performed to clarify the cause. The common diseases that cause multiple ulcers at the end of the ileum are ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease, and tuberculosis of the colon. The treatment of Crohn’s disease is basically similar to that of ulcerative colitis, and the same drugs are used. If the patient has symptoms such as bleeding in addition to ulcers, a hormone such as prednisone is needed to control the acute phase of the attack. After ruling out ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease, simple terminal ileal ulcers can be managed with drugs such as rectified intestine plus compound glutamine enteric granules. In addition, if the examination clearly indicates tuberculosis of the colon, it needs to be treated with anti-tuberculosis drugs for about one year.
