A bump on the nose causes a lot of pain. Patients can apply a cold towel to reduce local edema and congestion, and can also take oral painkillers such as fen-phen, clofazine tablets or ibuprofen extended-release tablets. However, patients need to go to the hospital to check the nasal CT to rule out any nasal bone fracture. If there is no fracture, only symptomatic anti-inflammation and prevention of local infection are needed, which can be cured in about a week. If a fracture is found, the patient needs to apply a local cold compress and then a local hot compress after 25 hours to reduce the mucosal congestion and edema in the nasal cavity, and within a week, a nasal fracture revision surgery needs to be performed, which requires hospitalization, after which the patient needs bilateral nasal plugs to compress and stop the bleeding, and can be discharged from the hospital in about a week. During the treatment period, patients need to drink more water and take more rest.
