What to do about enlarged tonsils in children

Children have poor resistance and are therefore susceptible to tonsillar hypertrophy. This disease usually induces otitis media and rhinitis, leaving children with hearing loss, runny nose and other symptoms. 1. Drug treatment. In acute tonsillitis, antiseptic drugs are used to completely eliminate the germs. This approach does not require removal of the tonsils, but has the disadvantage of not completely removing the germs. If the treatment is not complete, when the child’s immune system decreases, the germs will cause the tonsils to swell again. In the long run, it will become a chronic lesion. 2.Surgical treatment. Some children patients, who have enlarged tonsils, then have problems such as heavy snoring and poor swallowing of food. There are also some patients who have had acute inflammation of the tonsil enlargement many times. In some patients, inflammation of the tonsils has led to other diseases. For these patients, removal of tonsils should be used. 3. Prevention. Children’s tonsillar hypertrophy is best to focus on prevention, whether using medication, or surgery, all have a certain impact on the human body. Children should strengthen their exercise to improve their quality and reduce the number of times their bodies are invaded by germs. It should be reminded that it is best to ask a physician before using medication to avoid giving children serious adverse reactions.
