Our department has carried out egg freezing and resuscitation in vitro fertilization

Since July 2012, our department has been carrying out egg freezing, elective resuscitation and fertilization, transplantation, and observation of clinical outcomes. More than 100 eggs have been frozen and more than 50 have been resuscitated. More than 90 percent of the eggs have survived after resuscitation. Of the three recent fresh transplant cycles, two have resulted in clinical pregnancies, one of which has resulted in a twin pregnancy; the other is in the process of a twin pregnancy. The clinical outcome of egg freezing-resuscitation is still under investigation. The results of our small sample are as follows: 95.7% egg recovery survival rate, 79.4% normal fertilization rate and 92.9% oocyte cleavage rate, suggesting that the egg recovery-freezing technique is feasible under the existing conditions in our department, but further validation in a large sample is needed.
