A single bar on the Neocoronavirus antigen test is a negative or invalid condition, not a positive result. A NeoCV antigen test is negative if only the “C” is colored and the “T” does not show a band. A positive result is when both “C” and “T” bands are colored, regardless of the color. If the “C” is not colored, the result is invalid regardless of whether the “T” is colored or not. If one bar is not visible on the test card, it is recommended that the test be repeated to avoid invalid results due to incorrect use or contamination of the test kit. Sampling should be done in strict accordance with the instructions to avoid substandard sampling that may affect the final results. Antigen testing can help to quickly identify some infected people and improve the efficiency of testing, but it cannot be used as a basis for a definitive diagnosis. After the initial testing, nucleic acid testing is required for those suspected to be positive or negative.
