How do you dress a wound?



Dressing can protect the wound, reduce contamination, compression hemostasis, etc. Different injured parts have different points of attention, which can be divided into general wound dressing and joint part of the wound dressing.

1. General wound dressing: the main points of operation are dressing to exceed the wound edge 5~10cm, exposed fracture or abdominal organs can not easily back, should be protected with clean utensils, try not to directly wrap the gauze directly in the tissue, can be lined with a sterile dressing. If the eyes need to be bandaged, they should be protected with a dressing before bandaging.

2. Dressing of wounds in joint parts: it is required to be firm, comfortable and economical, the limb should be kept in functional position, the end of limb should be exposed to observe the blood flow, the direction of dressing should be from bottom to top, from distal end to proximal end, the folds of the skin should be protected by cotton pads, and the knots should not be hit in the wound.

Serious bleeding wounds also need to cooperate with measures such as hemostasis, after a simple bandage should go to the hospital in a timely manner by a professional doctor to avoid delays in the condition.
