Minimally invasive surgery for pulmonary nodules usually allows for recovery in 3-5 days. With the current concept of rapid recovery, patients are allowed to get off the floor for activities on the 1st postoperative day without having to wear an indwelling urinary catheter and can be allowed to start eating if they do not have severe abdominal distension. If the patient is older or has poor nutritional status, the postoperative recovery is relatively slow and the time will be prolonged. Therefore, patients are routinely discharged from the hospital in 3-5 days or at the latest about 7 days. If the patient develops severe pneumonia or pulmonary embolism complications, the patient’s hospital stay may be prolonged. Generally, 98% of patients can be discharged successfully within 4-7 days after surgery.
