The role of vitamin a ointment

Vitamin A ointment can promote epidermal cell renewal, regulate epidermal cell proliferation and differentiation, make the keratinocytes become more lax and easy to shed, and also inhibit the keratinization of sebaceous gland ducts to reduce the formation of acne. It is commonly used clinically for the treatment of acne vulgaris, periorbital keratosis, seborrheic dermatitis, psoriasis vulgaris, ichthyosis, disseminated lupus cornea on the face, lichen planus, and furunculosis. This product is irritating to the skin and its long-term application may cause side effects such as burning sensation, erythema and flaking of the skin, and is prohibited for pregnant women.
