The sudden swelling of one of your baby’s eyes may be caused by mosquito bites, or by blepharitis or conjunctivitis.
1. Mosquito bites: a baby’s one eye suddenly swollen, may be mosquito bites caused by an allergic reaction, the eye will have obvious redness, swelling, itching and other symptoms.
2. Blepharitis: mostly due to Staphylococcus aureus infection, rubbing the eyes in the case of unclean hands may lead to blepharitis, manifested in redness, swelling, pain and other symptoms, appearing in one of the baby’s eyes suddenly swollen.
3. Conjunctivitis: Babies are prone to blocked tear ducts and poor tear drainage, which can lead to conjunctivitis, redness and swelling of the eyes, dryness, increased secretion and other symptoms, which may lead to a sudden swelling of one of the baby’s eyes.
If your baby’s one eye is suddenly swollen, it is recommended that you take your baby to the doctor for prompt medical attention to determine the cause of the problem and follow the doctor’s instructions to choose the appropriate way of treatment.
