1. Jaundice: Jaundice is caused by excessive production of bilirubin in newborns, which cannot be normally excreted by the body. Generally speaking, yellow eyes of newborns are caused by physiological jaundice, which can subside by itself. If it persists and does not subside, it is pathological jaundice and should be examined and treated in time.
2. Congenital intestinal atresia: it may be due to heredity, viral infection (e.g. cytomegalovirus) leading to biliary atresia, and its symptoms can also be seen in newborns with yellow eyes, yellow-brown urine, yellowish skin (with symptoms getting worse gradually) accompanied by white clay-colored stools, abdominal distension such as a ball and other symptoms.
3. Neonatal hepatitis B: mostly due to infection of hepatitis B virus, most newborns do not have typical clinical symptoms, often appear after 6 months incubation period, fever, loss of appetite, hepatomegaly and other symptoms, its liver function tests serum bilirubin elevated, hepatitis B serum test was positive and so on.
