The efficacy of plerixafor (referred to as plerixafor injection) mainly consists of mobilizing hematopoietic stem cells into the peripheral blood for the purpose of collection and autologous transplantation. Plerixafor Injection is a chemokine receptor CXCR4 inhibitor and is used in combination with granulocyte colony-stimulating factor in patients with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma to mobilize hematopoietic stem cells into the peripheral blood for collection and autologous transplantation. Note that it is not recommended for hematopoietic stem cell collection and autologous transplantation in patients with leukemia. Contraindications include hypersensitivity to the product. Common adverse reactions following administration include diarrhea, nausea, fatigue, injection site reactions, headache, arthralgia, dizziness, and vomiting.
