Difference between anemia and sepsis

Anemia is a manifestation which differs from sepsis mainly in terms of etiology and symptoms.
1. Etiology: anemia has more causes, which may be caused by reduced red blood cell production, excessive blood loss or massive destruction. Sepsis is usually caused by pathogenic bacteria invading the body and causing systemic infection.
2. Symptoms: Anemia is commonly characterized by fatigue and dizziness, but the symptoms of different types of anemia may vary, for example, megaloblastic anemia may also present with numbness of the hands and feet, and unsteady gait. Sepsis is usually characterized by chills, high fever, flaccid or intermittent fever, joint pain, redness and swelling.
Therefore, when the above symptoms are suspected, it is recommended to consult a doctor in a timely manner, follow the doctor’s instructions to complete the relevant examinations, with the help of the doctor to clarify the cause, and to carry out targeted treatment or therapy.
