How long can you live with cerebral palsy?

Cerebral palsy does not usually affect survival time and can be survived for a long time. However, if serious complications occur, it may be life-threatening.
Patients with mild cerebral palsy may have various types of symptoms such as delayed motor development, intellectual abnormalities, emotional abnormalities, and sensory abnormalities. Systematic interventions such as appropriate therapeutic measures and rehabilitation training can be taken, and normal life is usually not affected.
Cerebral palsy patients with complications, such as malnutrition will affect normal growth and development. In addition, there may be serious psychological problems, such as depression and irritability, which are not life-threatening but may affect physical health, such as lung disease and heart disease, which may affect life.
Although mild cerebral palsy is not life-threatening, timely treatment and rehabilitation will help the child’s health and give him/her a chance to recover, so it is recommended not to delay treatment.
