What is a small hepatic hemangioma?

Small hemangiomas in the liver are a relatively common type of benign tumor in clinical practice, and are defined as hemangiomas less than 5 cm in diameter. Small hemangiomas in the liver with no obvious symptoms and less than 5 cm in diameter can be treated clinically conservatively with regular observation and require 1-2 hemangioma explorations or physical examinations per year, and do not require special treatment. In addition to traditional surgical resection, interventional treatment, including vascular embolization and local sclerotherapy, is also available for small hemangiomas of the liver.
