What to take for day and night coughing

Causes of day and night coughing include bronchitis, pneumonia, tuberculosis, lung cancer and so on, and their causes of different drugs have different treatments, as follows:
1. Bronchitis, pneumonia: mainly due to the inflammation caused by viruses, bacteria, mycoplasma and other pathogens stimulating the trachea, bronchial tubes, interstitium of the lungs, the patient may show cough, cough sputum, fever and so on.
For clear mycoplasma infection, azithromycin and erythromycin can be given to fight infection; for clear bacterial infection, amoxicillin and levofloxacin can be given to treat it; drugs for cough and expectorant include aminoglutethimide and bromhexine.
At the same time, patients need to pay attention to rest, drink more water, and eat a light diet.
2. Tuberculosis: Tuberculosis is mainly due to the destruction of lung tissue by tuberculosis bacilli causing cough. If the cough is caused by tuberculosis, it is necessary to standardize the use of anti-tuberculosis drugs. Commonly used drugs include: isoniazid, rifampicin, streptomycin, ethambutol and so on.
3. Lung cancer: Lung cancer is mainly caused by the invasion of cancer cells into trachea, mediastinum and pleura. For small cell lung cancer, chemotherapy often chooses etoposide, irinotecan combined with cisplatin or carboplatin; lung adenocarcinoma can choose pemetrexed combined with cisplatin, and squamous lung cancer can choose gemcitabine combined with cisplatin. Lung cancer molecular targeted drugs are mainly for adenocarcinoma, commonly used gefitinib.
There are many other causes of day and night coughing, such as cough variant asthma, drug-induced cough (taking captopril, etc.), etc. It is recommended to go to regular hospitals to improve the examination and find out the cause of coughing, and then choose the appropriate medication under the guidance of doctors. The above medications should be used under the guidance of a physician.
