What should I do if I can’t get a foreign object out of my eye?

If you have a foreign body in your eye and can’t get it out, you can first try to flush your eye, if that doesn’t work, then you should go to the hospital immediately and have the foreign body removed.
If a foreign body is in the eye, the patient should avoid rubbing it, as this may damage the surface tissue of the eye. Conjunctival sac irrigation may be used to flush the foreign body from the surface of the eye using aqueous humor to relieve the patient’s discomfort.
If a foreign body sensation persists after flushing, the foreign body may be embedded in the intraocular tissues, and the patient may undergo a foreign body removal procedure under the direction of a physician to surgically remove the foreign body. After surgery, patients can use tobramycin eye drops and levofloxacin eye drops as prescribed by the doctor to prevent infection.
It is recommended that patients who have a foreign body in their eye should consult a doctor promptly to assess their condition and follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment.
