In clinical practice, patients with tears in the posterior horn of the medial meniscus of the right knee are mostly caused by sprains of the knee joint, or a history of long-term strain or trauma to the right knee joint, which can lead to this condition. In the treatment, conservative treatment can be considered, which requires bed rest, hot compresses, Chinese herbal fumigation, or topical ointment to promote blood circulation, reduce blood stasis, swelling and pain, as well as intra-articular injection of sodium vitrate into the right knee to nourish the injured meniscus and also the synovial membrane. If conservative treatment is ineffective, surgical treatment can be performed, such as meniscus repair or meniscus removal through knee arthroscopy.
