Patients with asymmetry of one eye and one eye is a bit slanted, which may be caused by strabismus, ptosis or single eyelid, etc. Patients can be treated by wearing corrective glasses and surgical treatments to alleviate the discomfort of the eyes.
1. Strabismus: Strabismus patients can have asymmetrical eye position in both eyes because of the skewed eye position. If it is adjustable strabismus, patients can wear glasses to correct the refractive error, so as to balance the eye position. Surgical treatments such as medial rectus muscle reduction can be performed to improve the appearance of patients with non-adjustable strabismus.
2. Ptosis: If a patient has ptosis, the size of the eyelids can be asymmetrical, and the patient can be treated with surgery, such as ptosis correction surgery, to improve eye discomfort.
3. Single and double eyelids: If a patient has a single eyelid and a double eyelid in one eye, asymmetry of the eyes can occur, which is a normal phenomenon and does not require special treatment.
It is recommended that patients with asymmetry between the two eyes consult a doctor to evaluate their condition and follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment.
