Mild weakness of the arms and legs on one side of the stroke can be recovered in a short period of time, usually taking half a month to one month; if the weakness is severe, half a year of rehabilitation treatment is required, and the limb weakness that still exists after treatment is called post-stroke sequelae. The weakness of limbs in mild stroke patients can be gradually relieved during the acute treatment of cerebrovascular disease, and most patients can basically return to normal in half a month to a month. However, in more severe stroke patients, the purpose of medication in the early stage of cerebrovascular disease is to stop the patient’s limb weakness from further worsening, and the rehabilitation of the limbs needs to be continued after the condition is stabilized. The rehabilitation period is from three weeks to six months after the onset of the disease, and the patient can recover the limb weakness through systematic rehabilitation exercises. Rehabilitation during the recovery period is crucial and should not only be carried out early, but patients and their families should actively cooperate with the rehabilitation. After the six-month optimal rehabilitation period, it will become more difficult to restore some of the functions.
