Is a lung nodule over 1cm serious?

Pulmonary nodules over 1 cm are not serious in terms of their size, but in terms of the nature of the nodule. Pulmonary nodules over 1 cm means that the nodules are more than 1 cm in diameter and in most cases are not a serious disease. They are some benign occupying lesions of the lung most commonly seen with pathogenic infections such as Mycobacterium tuberculosis, fungi, and bacteria, causing inflammation of the lung and the appearance of inflammatory masses forming nodules, also known as inflammatory pseudotumors. Most are also seen in some benign lung tumors, such as teratomas and malignant tumors. Only a very small number of patients present with malignant tumors, such as bronchopulmonary carcinoma, the nature of which can usually be clarified by taking a lung nodule for biopsy. If the lung nodule is malignant, it is more serious at this time.
