Can you skydive with high myopia?

Patients with high myopia are generally not allowed to skydive.
High myopia refers to myopia of more than 600 degrees, because the eye axis of patients with high myopia is prolonged, the retina is stretched, and the peripheral part of the retina is prone to degeneration areas and dry fissures; when encountered with vibration, strenuous exercise and other situations, the risk of retinal detachment will increase.
Skydiving as a sport, there will be a relatively large impact when landing, so it is not conducive to the eye health of patients with high myopia, will increase the risk of retinal detachment, so it is not recommended that patients with high myopia skydiving.
Highly myopic patients should go to the ophthalmology department of the hospital for regular checkups, and if dry fissures and degeneration zones in the peripheral parts of the retina are found, they can be treated with laser closure under the guidance of the doctor to reduce the risk of retinal detachment, and it is not recommended that highly myopic patients participate in the parachute jumping activities.
