What’s wrong with white, granular bumps on your teeth?

The appearance of white granular projections on the dental beds, if the granular projections are hard in texture, may be due to the growth of the alveolar bone. The alveolar bone, like other bones in the body, can develop abnormal bone growth with age, which can appear to form small localized bony protrusions. In this case, if there are no special symptoms and it does not cause pain or ulcers, it can be left untreated and observed for the time being. If the white protuberance on the dental bed is soft, it is mostly caused by having oral ulcers on the dental bed. The early symptom of ulcers is the appearance of a small white protruding granule on the red, swollen mucosa of the dental bed, followed by the appearance of surrounding ulceration centered on the white spot until the formation of an ulcerated surface. A white granular protrusion on the dentition may also be caused by the presence of lichen planus, or white spots, which are oral mucosal diseases.
