What are the side effects of capecitabine tablets

Capecitabine side effects are mainly manifested in the digestive system and skin mucosa changes. In the digestive system, the main side effects are reversible gastrointestinal reactions, including diarrhea, irregular stools, increased frequency of bowel movements, dull pain, distension or colic in the abdomen, and gastroenteritis manifestations such as loss of appetite, nausea and vomiting. Changes in the skin mucosa, clinically known as hand-foot syndrome, are mainly manifested as numbness, dullness, abnormal sensation, tingling and pain in the hands and feet, skin swelling, erythema, flaking, and even blistering, pigmentation at the ends of the hands and feet, and other dermatitis changes. Other general adverse reactions mainly include mucositis, fever, weakness, drowsiness, mental discomfort, individual symptoms such as headache, abnormal sensation, dizziness, insomnia, palpitation, precordial discomfort, leukopenia and anemia, but none of them is clinically serious.
