What to do if you have a bad tooth root

When a tooth with a bad root goes to the hospital, the first step is to take an x-ray apical radiograph to check the direction and location of the fracture line. If the fracture is located in the apical third of the root, the root can usually be suspended and observed, and the tooth should be fixed with a loose tooth to adjust the occlusion and reduce the occlusal stress. If the tooth is not painful and loose, most of them can heal on their own. If the fractured root is located in the middle of the root, this tooth usually cannot be retained and needs to be extracted. If the fractured tooth is in the area of the crown, above the gum, the root can be preserved, but root canal treatment will be done and the tooth will be restored with a pile crown.
