Can old stomach problems become stomach cancer?

In the past two years, the proportion of young people has increased significantly compared to the past. There are big guys in their thirties who are 5’8″, girls in their twenties who are not married, and a young mother who has just given birth. When they came to the clinic, all of them were already very advanced tumors, and surgery was no longer worthwhile, with a survival period of three to six months. Every time I encounter such cases, my heart is heavy and I feel sorry for these young lives. Almost all of these patients came to the hospital only when they could not eat and already had obstruction. From the disease to the development of the disease to this extent, it was never formed in just a few months, and they must have had various stomach discomfort before, but they did not pay attention to it. Maybe they think they are so young body will not have any big problem, is the diet and rest habits are not regular; maybe a little bit of Baidu, they diagnosed themselves, they are a little bit of stomach problems, diet attention in two days on the good, no need to raise a lot of people to check, feel gastroscopy is still quite scary. First of all, why now we all have more or less stomach problems, especially young people. We in the northeast prefer heavy food, like spicy and salty stimulating food and fried high-calorie food. In the northeast, especially in the summer, barbecue is a culture. Big gold chain small watch, a day a small barbecue, youth dedicated to the small table, night surging night drink. Nowadays, the pressure of young people’s lives and careers are very big, work fatigue, irregular diet, meals are very spontaneous, work late at night and will eat very full. Many people are not available to eat breakfast, lunch make do, dinner social eating, like to stay up late, before going to bed also have to add a late night snack, or sleep will feel good loneliness in the stomach, overtime coffee as water, there is no time to exercise. In fact, these habits are very hurt the stomach, a period of intensive diet life irregularities, there will be stomach discomfort. Many friends have chronic gastritis, gastric ulcer, gastric polyps and other gastric diseases, often stomach discomfort, did not eat on time on the stomach pain, eat fast eat uncomfortable will be bloated or have a feeling of heartburn, occasionally there will be reflux symptoms, before going to bed will also be uncomfortable. Have you been shot with these symptoms lying down. Many people think it’s no big deal until they start having stomach discomfort nausea and vomiting, even with blood, before they go to the doctor. After that, they worry that their gastritis, stomach ulcer, stomach bleeding or positive for H. pylori will deteriorate into cancer. So can old gastric disease turn into gastric cancer? We often talk about gastric polyps and some chronic atrophic gastritis, which are indeed precancerous lesions, and there are also some patients who have undergone partial gastric resection due to ulcer disease, which may also become cancerous. Therefore, we should always be vigilant. There is no very specific manifestation of gastric cancer. Pain and weight loss are mainly clinical symptoms of progressive gastric cancer. Since gastritis may also cause abdominal pain, it is impossible to measure which is gastritis and which is gastric cancer by the degree of pain, and most patients with early gastric cancer do not have pain symptoms, but may have nausea, vomiting, or ulcer-like symptoms, discomfort in the upper abdomen, and fullness after eating, which are symptoms of digestive tract. As the disease progresses, there may be an increase in pain and a decrease in appetite. For example, the tumor of the esophagus and the gastric junction, originally called cardia fundus cancer, is now called gastroesophageal junction adenocarcinoma, which may cause pain behind the sternum and progressive dysphagia. For example, tumors near the pylorus, the gastric outlet, may cause pyloric obstruction, and then such patients will more often present with vomiting and abdominal distention. Therefore, people who suffer from gastric diseases should pay attention to the changes in the regularity and timing of pain, have regular checkups and pay enough attention to them. For patients suffering from gastric ulcer, gastric polyps, chronic atrophic gastritis, and residual stomach after gastric resection with unexplained wasting, they should go to the hospital for gastroscopy in time.
