What is the best way to get rid of tonsil stones?

Tonsil stones are treated by tonsillectomy. Patients with tonsil stones should go to the hospital as soon as possible to improve the examination and then follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment.
Tonsil stones are mostly located in the tonsil crypts and at the mouth of the glandular ducts, and are formed when calcium salts are deposited in necrotic or soon-to-be necrotic tissues. Common symptoms include bad breath, foreign body sensation in the throat, and sore throat.
If the stone is already causing the patient discomfort and is superficially located, small forceps can be used to strip the stone out of the crypt. If the stone is large and deep, it can be removed by incision under local anesthesia.
If none of the above methods work, and tonsil stones recur, you can choose to remove the tonsils according to the doctor’s orders, which is also a clinical method of eradicating tonsil stones.
