The symptoms of brain metastasis usually include the following: 1) Headache is the most important symptom; 2) Vomiting, mainly jet vomiting caused by increased intracranial pressure; 3) Visual impairment due to compression of the optic nerve by the tumor; 4) Mental abnormality due to compression of the brain nerve by the tumor; 5) Numbness or abnormal sensation in the limbs due to compression of the nerve by the tumor; 6) Phantom smell due to compression of the olfactory nerve by the tumor, often resulting in an unexplained smell in the nose. 7. Tumor compression of the nerve leads to hemiplegia or unstable gait. 8. Tumor compression of the auditory nerve leads to deafness or tinnitus.
