What is the reason for the crooked head

Crooked head is considered to be a spastic squint, mainly due to contraction of the sternocleidomastoid, trapezius and other muscles of the neck, causing the head to be crooked to one side. It can be paroxysmal at the beginning and can become persistent as the disease progresses, but the symptoms can be reduced or disappear during sleep. For the treatment of spastic squint, oral benzhexol or carbamazepine can be given, as well as oral benzodiazepines if necessary, or oral baclofen and other muscle relaxants. Acupuncture and massage in Chinese medicine can also be taken to relieve the involuntary contraction of the neck muscles.
