What are pivoxyl bromide tablets for?

Pivetronium bromide tablets are calcium antagonists with antispasmodic and increased intestinal peristalsis effects, and are mainly used for the symptomatic treatment of pain associated with intestinal dysfunction, abnormal bowel movements, gastrointestinal discomfort, and pain symptoms associated with biliary dysfunction, and also as a preparation for barium enema. A very small number of patients taking pivacurium bromide tablets may experience mild gastrointestinal discomfort, as well as rash-like allergic reactions.
