Swallowing discomfort may have the following conditions: First, some patients have chronic laryngitis, mostly manifested as lymphoid follicular hyperplasia at the root of the tongue and lymphoid follicular hyperplasia at the back wall of the pharynx, when the patient swallows, especially when swallowing saliva, this foreign body sensation is more obvious, which can lead to the patient’s discomfort in swallowing, which is particularly common clinically. Second, some patients have something in their throat, such as papilloma of the tonsils, tonsil polyps, papilloma of the tongue root, giant cyst of the epiglottis, or some malignant tumors in the throat, etc. When the patient swallows food, the long stuff causes local obstruction and friction, which can lead to uncomfortable swallowing performance. Third, some patients have esophageal diseases, such as reflux esophagitis and esophageal tumors, which can cause a sense of obstruction when swallowing food and lead to uncomfortable swallowing.
