What to do if your feet are hot during menstruation

Heart heat in the feet during menstruation is due to yin deficiency caused by blood loss, and yin deficiency can be treated by taking Liou Wei Di Huang Wan or Zhi Bai Di Huang Wan. During menstruation, if you have a yin deficiency, coupled with the loss of menstrual blood, you may show symptoms of yin deficiency. Symptoms of yin deficiency include not only hot hands and feet, but also heartburn, dry mouth and thirst, dry eyes, short urine, red tongue with little moss, and a fine pulse (a pulse that becomes narrower and finer and quicker in rate), and so on. It can be used to nourish yin and tonify the kidneys, for kidney yin deficiency, dizziness and tinnitus, lumbar and knee soreness (a feeling of soreness and weakness in the lumbar and knee regions), bone vapor and tidal fever (a burst of heat, feeling that the heat comes from inside the bones to the outside), night sweating (abnormal sweating after falling asleep, but sweating stops when waking up), and spermatorrhea. If Yin deficiency is severe and symptoms such as flushing of the face and sores on the mouth and tongue occur, Zhi Bai Di Huang Wan can be used. Zhi Bai Di Huang Wan is based on Liu Wei Di Huang Wan with the addition of Zhi Materia Medica and Huang Bai to increase the strength of clearing heat. Allergic to the two proprietary Chinese medicines is prohibited, and pregnant women should be cautious. Do not eat raw, greasy, spicy and stimulating food during the medication period. The use of proprietary Chinese medicines requires identification of the symptoms and should be taken under the guidance of a traditional Chinese medicine practitioner.
