Is a high pressure of 149 and a low pressure of 87 normal?

Blood pressure of 149/87 mmHg is not normal. The diagnostic criteria for hypertension are systolic blood pressure greater than 140 mmHg or diastolic blood pressure greater than 90 mmHg, and as long as one of these criteria is met, the patient is considered hypertensive, and the patient is currently at the diagnostic criteria for hypertension. For this critical elevation of blood pressure, the main focus is on therapeutic lifestyle intervention and the choice of medication based on lifestyle intervention. With therapeutic lifestyle interventions such as strict weight control, sodium and fat intake, smoking cessation, alcohol intake restriction, regular exercise and intake of corresponding fruits and vegetables, blood pressure can be reduced to normal. However, some secondary hypertension caused by other conditions, such as renal insufficiency, or the failure to lower blood pressure to normal after therapeutic lifestyle interventions, may require drug therapy.
