What’s wrong with a sore throat?

  In our daily life, we often have a sore throat, which is usually caused by the following reasons: viral infection, bacterial infection, and other causes.  1.Viral infection: Viral diseases that commonly cause sore throat include: common cold, influenza, mononucleosis, measles, chicken pox, croup (a common childhood disease characterized by severe cough).  2.Bacterial infections: Many bacterial infections can cause sore throat, the most common being Streptococcus pyogenes or group A streptococcus, which can cause streptococcal pharyngitis.  3, other causes: (1) allergies: pet dander, mold, dust and pollen allergies, etc.  (2) Dryness: Dry indoor air, especially when the building is heated, can make the throat feel rough and itchy.  (3) Irritants: outdoor air pollution can cause constant throat irritation, and indoor pollution: tobacco smoke or chemicals can also cause chronic sore throats.  (4) Muscle strain: Strain the muscles in the throat by shouting, such as talking loudly at a sporting event; or gossiping for a long time without rest.  There are several common causes of sore throat such as the above, and treatment should be taken promptly.
