Esophageal cancer is not a hereditary disease and is not inherited. However, if the grandson has similar dietary habits, or similar living environment and other factors as the grandfather, the likelihood of the grandson developing esophageal cancer will increase.
Esophageal cancer is not a hereditary disease, so grandpa’s esophageal cancer will not be passed on to his grandson. However, many esophageal cancers are related to bad dietary habits and lack of certain substances in the living environment, for example, eating pickled food frequently, or lack of selenium, vitamin E and other substances in the living environment may lead to an increase in the incidence of esophageal cancer.
Therefore, if grandchildren have similar bad eating habits as grandparents or live in the same area, it may increase the incidence of esophageal cancer in grandchildren.
