Is it serious to have a blood pressure of 100 to 150 in winter?

Winter blood pressure of 100/150 mm Hg is more severe and is classified as grade 2 hypertension according to the criteria. Medications are needed to control the course of the disease. Hypertension is a cardiovascular syndrome with elevated arterial pressure in the body circulation as the main clinical manifestation. It can be divided into primary hypertension and secondary hypertension. Our normal blood pressure standard is: systolic blood pressure <120 mmHg, diastolic blood pressure <80 mmHg. However, the risk level of hypertension also takes into account risk factors and concomitant diseases. Risk factors include age (>55 years ~ men, >65 years ~ women), smoking, and family history of early onset cardiovascular disease. Clinical manifestations of hypertension may include dizziness, headache, fatigue, palpitations, and typical symptoms of hypertension may disappear when blood pressure drops. It can also be complicated by cerebral hemorrhage, cerebral thrombosis, heart failure, coronary artery disease, chronic renal failure and aortic coarctation. Medications for primary hypertension: diuretics (hydrochlorothiazide), beta receptor antagonists (propranolol), calcium channel blockers (nifedipine), angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors (captopril), and angiotensin-diinhibitors (chlosartan). Secondary hypertension accounts for a smaller but still larger absolute number of cases. Among them, secondary hypertension such as primary aldosteronism and renal vascular hypertension can be improved and cured by surgical treatment, so it is necessary to make a clear diagnosis in time so as to improve the cure rate and stop the progression of the disease.
