How about an IV infusion procedure

The operation process of intravenous infusion is mainly divided into the following aspects, pre-infusion preparation and dispensing, hanging the bottle and preparing the infusion set, sterilizing and tying the tourniquet, venous puncture and fixation, and removing the needle at the end of the infusion. 1. Pre-infusion preparation and dispensing: wash hands and wear a mask before infusion, prepare medicines, liquids and other items needed for infusion according to the doctor’s instructions, check the expiration date of the medicines and the packaging, etc., and dispense the liquids according to the doctor’s instructions, paying strict attention to aseptic operation during the period and checking the patient’s information. 2. Hang the bottle and prepare the infusion set: after checking the patient’s information and drug information again, open the infusion set and insert the needle into the bottle mouth, hang the liquid on the infusion pole, adjust the adjusting clip and ventilate the liquid, and make the preparation before infusion. 3. Sterilization and tourniquet: use iodophor swab to sterilize the puncture site, tie a tourniquet 10-15cm above the infusion site, remove the infusion tube, and exhaust the air bubbles when they exist in the tube. 4. Venous puncture and fixation: after the patient makes a fist, choose a suitable blood vessel, hold the needle handle and the skin at an angle of 15-30 degrees to pierce the skin, see the return of blood and then pierce a little bit more, release the tourniquet and ask the patient to loosen the fist, use the adhesive tape to the needle to fix it, loosen the regulating clip and adjust the drip rate. Check the patient’s information and drug information again. 5. Remove the needle after the infusion: after the infusion is completed, remove the tape, close the regulating clip, quickly remove the needle, and press the puncture point for 1-2 minutes to avoid subcutaneous bleeding, and the infusion is completed. In the process of infusion, attention should be paid to the system of three checks and seven checks to avoid medical malpractice due to negligence.
