Traumatic gray nails mainly refers to nail fungal disease induced by nail trauma, manifested as thickening of the nail, gray and yellow turbidity, and unevenness of the nail surface. Nail trauma is a susceptibility factor for nail fungal disease, which can induce fungal infections of the nail plate and subnail tissues, i.e. nail fungal disease, also known as “gray nails”. The causative organisms are mainly Candida, Malassezia, and so on. Trauma mostly causes distal lateral subnail nail fungal disease. The manifestation of the fungus from the distal front edge of the nail and the lateral edge of the side of the invasion, so that the thickening, gray and yellow turbidity, the nail plate performance of unevenness or breakage.
