How to exercise for posterior circulation ischemia

The main form of exercise for posterior circulation ischemia is to perform low-intensity aerobic exercise. Posterior circulation ischemia refers to transient ischemic attack and cerebral infarction in the posterior circulation of the brain, which is caused by atherosclerosis leading to narrowing and occlusion of the large arteries, which in turn leads to hypoperfusion, thrombosis, and arteriogenic embolism, causing insufficient blood supply to the brain. It can be manifested as headache, dizziness, numbness and weakness of limbs, nausea and vomiting, transient loss of consciousness, and so on. Patients with posterior circulation ischemia can choose some low-intensity aerobic exercise, such as cycling, swimming, jogging, tai chi, etc., to enhance systemic blood circulation and improve the symptoms of insufficient cerebral blood supply. Exercise should be done in moderation so as not to aggravate the condition by over-exertion. It is recommended that patients with posterior circulation ischemia should consult a doctor in time for reasonable treatment, pay attention to low-salt, low-fat and low-sugar diets, and actively carry out rehabilitation exercises under the guidance of doctors.
