How old is the MMR vaccine for babies

There are two doses of MMR vaccine, the first dose needs to be given at 8 months of age and the second at 18 months of age.
MMR vaccine belongs to Class I vaccine in China and is a mandatory vaccine, mainly used to prevent measles, mumps and rubella, which are highly prevalent diseases among children and adolescents and are easy to spread infection. The first dose of the MMR vaccine is usually given when babies are 8 months old, and the second dose is given when babies are 18 months old.
After MMR vaccination, redness, swelling and pain at the site of vaccination may appear, mostly within 24 hours after vaccination, but the degree is relatively mild and lasts for 2-3 days and disappears without special treatment.
Post-vaccination fever is also common, usually low to moderate, parents use physical antipyretic measures, if necessary, follow the doctor’s advice to use ibuprofen or acetaminophen and other drugs to reduce fever.
Children need to receive MMR vaccine on time, and if there is any discomfort after vaccination that parents cannot handle, it is recommended that they seek medical attention in a timely manner.
