Do you still have leukorrhea from the total hysterectomy?

There will be leukorrhea with a total hysterectomy, however, it will usually be less than before the removal.
Leukorrhea is a mixture of vaginal discharge and cervical discharge that comes out of the body. When the cervix is removed after a total hysterectomy, the leukorrhea is vaginal discharge.
Vaginal secretions are influenced by ovarian hormones and change cyclically. After hysterectomy, if the patient is not menopausal and the ovaries are still functioning, vaginal secretions will be normal, but they may be less than before the total hysterectomy.
If the decrease in secretion leads to dryness of the vulva or pain during sexual intercourse, you can apply some estrogen ointment locally under the guidance of your doctor.
If there is an increase in leukorrhea and odor after total hysterectomy, be alert to the fact that it is caused by vaginitis and requires medical attention.
