Is it possible to drink alcohol while taking dexamethasone

Alcohol can usually be consumed after taking dexamethasone, a glucocorticoid with anti-allergic, anti-inflammatory, and anti-convulsive pharmacologic effects. Dexamethasone can also be used as a hormonal shock therapy for, for example, adrenal, immunosuppressive or immunocompromised disorders. It is widely used in the clinic, but there is no clinical evidence-based medicine that shows that drinking alcohol after taking dexamethasone produces alcohol sensitization and alcoholic reactions. However, drinking alcohol immediately after taking dexamethasone is not recommended because alcohol will make the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of dexamethasone relatively weakened, so drinking alcohol after taking dexamethasone will make dexamethasone not fully absorbed and utilized by the body.
