How to do tooth desensitization treatment

Dental desensitization treatment usually uses desensitizing agents to seal the dentin tubules in order to achieve the effect of treating dentin sensitivity. Commonly used desensitizing agents include fluoride, strontium chloride, and silver ammonia fluoride, as follows. 1. Fluoride: such as 0.76% sodium monofluorophosphate gel, which can be used by brushing, or by the doctor using a cotton ball dipped in the medication and rubbed on the affected area for several minutes. 2. Strontium chloride: local application of 75% strontium chloride glycerin or 25% strontium chloride liquid can provide desensitization. 3. Ammonia silver fluoride: After wetting, use a small cotton ball saturated with 38% ammonia silver fluoride to apply on the affected area for two minutes, and then repeat once more, rinse the mouth after wiping off the liquid, which can block the dentin tubules. All of the above drugs should be used under the guidance of a doctor, if the symptoms of dentin sensitivity are serious, it is recommended to go to the hospital in a timely manner, and receive regular treatment as soon as possible.
