Conjunctivitis can usually be treated with hot towels, but hot towels are not clinically recommended. There are two types of conjunctivitis: infectious and non-infectious. Non-infectious is mainly due to allergies, or immune deficiency caused by immune conjunctivitis, these two for the more common, allergies are usually recommended to improve the symptoms of cool compresses, immune-related conjunctivitis, hot and cool compresses do not have much effect. Infectious conjunctivitis mainly refers to bacterial conjunctivitis or viral conjunctivitis, both of which require the use of anti-infective drugs, and often hot compresses are not very useful. Regardless of the type of conjunctivitis, if it is combined with dry eyes, hot compresses can be used after the symptoms are relieved. In the acute stage of conjunctivitis, hot compresses are usually not recommended.
