Tightness and belching when turning the neck from side to side is usually a symptom of two factors superimposed on each other. If cervical spondylosis is accompanied by gastric ulcer, the above symptoms may occur. 1. The causes of tightness in turning the neck from side to side include cervical spondylosis, falling pillow and cold. (1) Cervical spondylosis: Because of degenerative changes in the cervical vertebrae, patients with cervical spondylosis may experience tightness when their necks are turned from side to side. (2) Pillow fall: Sleeping in the wrong position or with an inappropriate pillow may strain the neck muscles, resulting in pillow fall, neck pain, limited neck movement, and tightness when turning the neck. (3) Cold: when the neck is cold, it may cause spasm of the neck muscles, resulting in tightness when the neck moves. 2. Causes of belching include excessive intake of gas-producing foods such as sweet potatoes, gastric ulcers, and mental factors. (1) Intake of gas-producing foods: excessive intake of gas-producing foods such as sweet potatoes and black beans can cause gas in the stomach to pass from the esophagus to the throat, causing belching. (2) Gastric diseases: gastric ulcer, gastritis and other gastric diseases can cause gastric emptying obstruction or indigestion, and the gas in the stomach is not easy to be discharged, resulting in belching. (3) Mental factors: poor mood can cause sympathetic nervous excitement, resulting in weakened gastrointestinal peristalsis, gastrointestinal tract dysfunction, increased gas-producing bacteria, causing belching. The causes of tightness and belching are not limited to the above mentioned reasons, if the patient does not see relief of the above symptoms, or accompanied by other symptoms, you should go to the hospital in time, to identify the cause of the targeted treatment.
